As an esteemed associate professor and distinguished atmospheric scientist at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden, specializing in Chemistry & Molecular Biology, his story epitomizes resilience and determination. Hailing from a humble farming family in a remote village in Uttar Pradesh, India, Ravikant overcame significant challenges to excel in academics, securing a place at the prestigious IIT in 1994. His educational path led him to obtain Bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemical engineering from IIT Mumbai, followed by a Ph.D. from Hong Kong University and a Postdoctoral fellowship at Carnegie Mellon University in the United States.
Inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s principles, Ravikant initiated various social initiatives, including the establishment of the Sustainability Innovations and Knowledge Center and the Bharat Uday Gurukul, a residential school supporting underprivileged rural communities.
